Good afternoon Neighbor:I wanted to get this message out as soon as possible so that you might alert your local church or synagogue. I went to my church this morning to find that it had been robbed. The police officer informed us that there has been a rash of Church Identity Theft in our area. These thieves went directly with sledgehammers and busted through the inner walls of the church to get to locked offices and then opened the computer towers and stole the hard-drive information. They also went through our church filing cabinets - they were in and out within minutes.I do not wish to see this happen to another House of Worship in our community so please get the word out.Your Neighbor,ConnieAs Margaret Mead once said:Never underestimate the power of a few committed people to change the world. Rep. Fludd has made comment regarding Walker Brothers
Good Morning Neighbor:I could not decide if I should send this out for fear of appearing political. But, I have to remind myself that any decision that is made out of fear is never a good one. I feel our community needs to be informed and what I have said or done would have happened whether I was running for office or not. Please feel free to read below Rep. Fludd's response on GA Politics Unfiltered. I have sent my response and have pasted it below.Your Neighbor,ConnieRepresentative Fludd:The only way Walker Brothers might begin to repair their status with the community is to drop their lawsuit against the City of Fairburn and begin talks with the citizens on ways to do business that would better the environment. Our community came together to make a very strong stand and deserves no less than an equally strong stand from those they have elected to serve them.Connie Biemiller, ChairSouth Fulton and Fayette Community Task ForceCandidate State House Rep. The Fayette Democrats Have Dared to Do the Right Thing
Good Afternoon Neighbor:As many of you know, because of our PSC Ordeal I decided sometime ago to run for State Office. I was attending a Fayette Democrat Holiday gathering this past Sunday Evening and was stunned to see what took place in front of my eyes. Representative Virgil Fludd came up on stage and handed the Fayette Democrats a Check for $500.00 from Walker Brothers. I had to collect myself - I thought what is happening here??? Didn't this man just stand with our community against Walker Brothers bringing in a Waste Transfer Station and is this not the very Company who has filed a lawsuit against the City of Fairburn for standing with our community. As I said in my speech at the State Capitol, does our community really matter??? Is it really okay to back our cause on one hand and then turn around and accept money from the very people who want to harm us???I made the leadership of the Fayette Democrats aware of all of this and at their Executive Meeting last evening they decided to return the check to Rep. Fludd. This is a courageous move on their part. Knowing that I am running against Virgil they could have looked at this with political glasses and gone ahead and accepted the check. But they very much want to stand by the community and should be commended for doing so. The Fayette Democratic Party just released their platform - I will paste their link below. They want to uplift our environment and now we can see they are not only doing this in their words but their actions as well.Your neighbor,Connie

Community Update and the EPA
Good Afternoon Neighbor:I hope everyone had a wonderful Thanksgiving Holiday!! I don't know about you but as the years go by the more I have to be thankful for - I remember my grandfather giving the Thanksgiving prayer when I was in my early 20s it literally (no lie) lasted an hour - now I have a glimpse as to why he had so much to be thankful for - I am even thankful now for the memory of his hour long prayer!!!One of our dear neighbors Lina Pitts who lives directly behind PSC is very ill and is asking for our community prayers - I am posting her email below. She is one of the many that continue to suffer with ongoing illness since the release of toxins from PSC. I can remember going to her house during the event - you literally could not breathe - she had to send her young son to live somewhere else and she would stay with friends as often as she could. See below:Hello Connie. I hope your family had a wonderful Thanksgiving. I am blessed to be here today and I as soliciting everyone's prayers again. I have been going back and forth to the doctor's. This time it is not my asthma but something I feel is more serious. I keep having abnormal kidney test and my blood counts are elevated again. I have went two weeks straight to have them collect blood work to be sure the testing has been accurate. I go back this Wednesday. I as requesting prayers of healing and not that I just get better but to be completely healed from all illness. When we said that we did not know how we could be affected later on down the road I can truely say that is definetely a fact because my blood was taking back then and I did not have an abnormal kidney test then. I am thanking you in advance for your prayers now and I know whatever his will is will be done. Thank you for continuing to be active in the task force. I will get back active as soon as possible because if we let it die it will continue to happen and we will die right along with it. Lina
Also, please see the article below - our Vice Chair - April Butler just sent this. Why would it be that our EPA wants to move backwards on the Environment rather than forward?? Why would they want to relax standards for toxic chemicals rather than strengthen them?? I am really starting to feel that I live in an alternate universe - none of this makes sense!! I am going to copy this to Congressman Scott's office in hopes that he can enlighten us on what is happening in the Federal Government.Your neighbor,Connie

Because we care about our Environment
Good Evening Neighbor:I thought I would share this article with you as we begin the holiday season and often times increase our power usage. We may want to think twice this year due to the severe drought our community and entire State is now undergoing - I had no idea how much water our electricity uses!!http://www.ajc.com/metro/content/metro/stories/2007/11/17/power_1118.htmlYour neighbor,Connie

Hearings at the Capitol
Good Morning Neighbor:I am enclosing my speech below that was given yesterday to the Georgia Senate Oversight Committee. I must say I am very impressed with this committee - the right questions were being asked and the failure of the EPD to serve our community was totally seen by all of them. I am so thankful that our Community was asked to participate - your Task Force was very well organized and it is evident as to who knows exactly what has occurred - US!!! The non-empathy of our plight was even more exemplified by the "Walk Out" of the EPD when I began my speech - this was publicly noted by the Senate Committee. There will be future hearings - the next one will occur in January 08.Your neighbor,ConnieP.S.
